Women's Basketball Earns No. 2 Seed at NCAA Tournament

LOS ANGELES – The UCLA women's basketball team has secured a No. 2 seed in the 68-team NCAA Tournament field and will host No. 15-seed Cal Baptist in a first-round contest on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. (PT).
UCLA (25-6) will host a first-round matchup between No. 7-seed Creighton (25-5) and No. 10-seed UNLV (30-2) at 4 p.m. on Saturday, prior to the Bruins' contest against Cal Baptist (28-3). The two advancing teams from Saturday's first-round games will face each other at UCLA on Monday.
UCLA's first-round meeting against Cal Baptist will be nationally televised on ESPN2.
This will mark UCLA's 26th all-time postseason appearance and the program's 19th entry to the annual NCAA Tournament. Last season, the Bruins advanced as the No. 4-seed, hosting consecutive games against Sacramento State and Oklahoma.
The Bruins posted a 25-6 record this season, including a 1-1 mark at the Pac-12 Tournament. UCLA went 13-5 in Pac-12 play, securing the No. 3-seed in the conference tournament.
