UCLA Places 11 Bruins on MPSF All-Academic Team

LOS ANGELESย โ For the second straight year, aย total of 11 members of the UCLA women's water polo team have earned 2024 MPSF All-Academic honors, the league announced.
The 2024 NCAA Champions had 11 student-athletes on the list and are highlighted by two four-time,ย two three-time,ย two two-time, and five first-timeย honorees.
In order to qualify as an MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete, a student-athlete must have a 3.00-or-better cumulative grade point average (GPA), be no lower than a sophomore in academic standing, have competed in at least 50 percent of the team's competitions, and have completed one full academic year at the institution prior to the season for which the award is received.
Graduate student attacker Brooke Doten (4.00, Davis, Calif./Davis Senior HS) and graduate student attacker Hannah Palmer (3.90, Irvine, Calif./Orange Lutheran HS) each earned their fourthย MPSF All-Academic selections.
Graduate student attackerย Fiona Kuesisย (3.89, Santa Barbara, Calif./San Marcos HS)ย and senior attacker Anneliese Miller (3.72, Danville, Calif./Monte Vistaย HS) each earned their third-straight MPSF All-Academic accolades.
Junior attacker Molly Rennerย (3.56, Laguna Beach, Calif./Laguna Beach HS),ย and junior utility Nicole Struss (3.61,ย Laguna Beach, Calif./Laguna Beach HS)ย earned MPSF All-Academic honors for the second time in their careers.
The five Bruins that earned MPSF All-Academic honors for the first time in their careers in 2024 include sophomore utility Lily Gess (3.67, Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor HS), sophomore attacker Carly McMurray (3.14, Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif./Santa Margarita Catholic HS), sophomore utility Anna Pearsonย (3.24, Irvine, Calif./Orange Lutheran HS), sophomore utility Genoa Rossi (3.22, Laguna Beach, Calif./Mater Deiย HS), and sophomore attacker Taylor Smith (3.23, Newport Beach, Calif./Newport Harbor HS).
