Women’s Volleyball Signs Setter Kate Duffey

LOS ANGELES – UCLA women's volleyball head coach Alfee Reft has signed setter Kate Duffey from Ventura, Calif. to his 2024 roster. Duffey is one of four freshmen and seven newcomers on the 2024 squad.
Duffey was named the 2023 Ventura County Star Volleyball Player of the Year after leading Ventura High School to a 27-6 season, including a 14-0 run through the Channel League and to the top seed in the CIF-SS Division 5 Playoffs.
Duffey tallied 639 assists (6.9 assists per set), 180 kills (2.0 kills per set), 280 digs (3.04 digs per set) and 39 blocks in her senior season for the Cougars.
"While Kate is the last one to be announced, we could not be more thrilled that she will be joining our Bruin Family," Reft said. "Kate will add yet another dimension to our team's deep and talented roster this season."
