Aarnisalo Wraps U20 EuroBasket Leading Finland in Scoring

LOS ANGELES – Incoming freshman Elina Aarnisalo finished competition with Team Finland at the FIBA U20 Women's EuroBasket 2024 in Vilnius, Lithuania on Sunday.
Aarnisalo led her U20 squad in points (18.2 PPG), 3-pointers (2.3 3FGM) and minutes (34.3 MPG) in the seven-game tournament. She appeared in six of Finland's seven games and shot 40.0 percent from distance (14-for-35 3FG). Aarnisalo accumulated 35 rebounds and 10 assists; she was the team's leading scorer and second-leading rebounder. She averaged the third-most points among all players in the U20 EuroBasket games.
Despite her efforts, Finland went 0-7 in competition against its European foes in the tournament. Aarnisalo's stat lines, and the Finland game results, can be found below.
