Dodson, Pak to Attend Big Ten Volleyball Media Days in August

ROSEMONT, Ill. โ Graduate students Anna Dodson and Audrey Pak will represent the UCLA women's volleyball program at the third-annual Big Ten Volleyball Media Days August 5-6 at Big Ten Network Studios in Chicago.

Associate Head Coach Amir Lugo-Rodriguez will represent UCLA as Head Coach Alfee Reft helps the U.S. Women's Volleyball National Team in its pursuit of gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The two-day event will feature nine schools each day, represented by their coaches and two student-athletes.

Dodson received the first AVCA All-American recognition of her career in 2023, being named honorable mention. The Bruins' star middle blocker was also named to the All-Pac-12 Team for the third time in her career. Dodson recorded 322.0 points (3.04 PPS) off 233 kills and 131 blocks (1.24 BPS). She led UCLA and ranked fifth in the Pac-12 with a .364 hitting percentage.

Pak played in 29 matches and made 19 starts, including 15 straight to end the regular season. In her final 15 matches as UCLA's primary setter, Pak totaled 581 assists and averaged 10.02 assists per set. The Moraga, Calif. native set career bests in the following categories: 806 assists (7.60 APS), 40 kills for a .306 hitting percentage, 20 service aces, 75.0 blocks and 100.0 points (0.94 PPS). Pak ranked second among Pac-12 setters with 0.71 blocks per set.

Pak's top performance of 2023 came in the season finale at No. 24 USC on Nov. 24 where she recorded a career-high 11.5 points in a double-double performance (51 AST, 10 D) with five kills, a career-high four service aces and five block assists. Pak strung together three of those aces in a row in the fifth set to give UCLA the lead and help defeat its crosstown rival.
