Bruins in the NFL: Week 1

A total of 21 Bruins saw action in week one of the NFL season. Dallas Cowboys linebacker Eric Kendricks stood out on the defensive side of the ball, recording the 10th interception of his career and a team-high tying two sacks and nine combined tackles in a blowout win over the Cleveland Browns. Offensively, Seattle Seahawks second-year running back Zach Charbonnet scored the first receiving touchdown of his professional career on a 30-yard connectionย in the fourth quarter to put the game on ice in a win over the Denver Broncos. On special teams, the Houston Texans' Ka'imi Fairbairn had the most impressive kicking performance around the league with three 50-plus yard field goals.

The most 50-yard field goals Fairbairn has attempted in a single-season is six, which he has done his six previous seasons. Fairbairn is now 32-for-43 on FG attempts from 50-plus yards in his career. He was also 2-for-2 on PAT attempts.
