UCLA Athletics Announces 2024 Football Gameday Enhancements

LOS ANGELES โ UCLA Athletics announced enhancements to the fan experience for the 2024 UCLA Football season at the Rose Bowl. The home opener for the Bruins, as well as the Big Ten Conference opener, takes place on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 4:30 p.m. against Indiana. Tickets to all UCLA home football games can be purchased online at uclabruins.com/tickets.

Expanded Student Section
The UCLA student section has expanded along the East sideline of the Rose Bowl to include sections 2-6, which are closer to the 50-yard line and behind the opponent bench. The first seven rows of sections 2-6 will be safe-standing areas, designed to bring UCLA students closer to the action like never before. The safe-standing area incorporates the newest in seating technology. A sturdy rail system separates each row, allowing students the opportunity to stand and cheer in a safe and comfortable manner. The Rose Bowl is one of the first college football stadiums to implement safe-standing sections, with UCLA being the only Big Ten team to have students directly behind the opponent bench.

The majority of the student section will remain in sections 6-10.

New State-of-the-Art Sound System
Bruin fans will enjoy the implementation of a new state-of-the-art sound system serving the stadium seating area and gates. Harnessing the best in audio technology, the sound system showcases a wide range of improvements in sound quality, including exceptional clarity, and smooth, consistent coverage patterns throughout the stadium. The new system provides enhanced intelligibility to better understand the public address announcements and referee mics. Fans will also enjoy full spectrum audio for music within the stadium.ย

Band Relocation
The UCLA Band will now be located between tunnels 6 and 7.ย The Solid Gold Sound will play towards the UCLA bench and the west side of the stadium, enhancing their presence throughout the Rose Bowl.

Among the new concessions items in the stadium are:

Value concession stands, with hot dogs, nachos and soda priced at $4.95, will remain near tunnels 8 and 23.

Return of Bruin Walk
A UCLA Football tradition returns with the Bruin Walk. Fans are encouraged to cheer the Bruins on as they arrive at the edge of the Area H Fan Zone on Rosemont Avenue and walk through the UCLA Football Fan Zone into the Rose Bowl Stadium by Gate A. The Bruins are scheduled to arrive at Area H at 1:50 p.m. for the season opener.

Then Now Forever Tailgate
The Then Now Forever Tailgate returns for the 2024 season in the UCLA Area H Fan Zone. The Bruin Walk will pass right by the Then Now Forever Tailgate, allowing guests to welcome and cheer on UCLA upon their arrival to the Rose Bowl. All former UCLA Football players, along with Wooden Athletic Fund donors at the Coaches Roundtable level or above, receive access to the tailgate for the entire season. Tailgate access includes an all-you-can-eat buffet, open bar, DJ and photo booth.

Field Cheer Boxes
UCLA Athletics will reintroduce four cheer boxes on the Spieker Field sidelines this season. Each box will be occupied by a member of UCLA's Spirit Squad who will engage with the audience to encourage cheers and enhanced coordination among fans.

BruinFest Location Change
The south stage of BruinFest will now be located in Area H of the Fan Zone, next to the Then Now Forever tailgate. The north stage will be used exclusively for UCLA's I'm Going to College fairs on Saturday, Sept. 14 and Friday, Nov. 8.

Pre-game Sideline Passes for Purchase
Fans are now able to purchase pre-game sideline passes, which allow access to the field beginning 60 minutes prior to kickoff until 15 minutes prior to kickoff. Note that sideline passes are in addition to a ticket and does not include seating. Sideline passes can be purchased here.

Commemorative Tickets
To commemorate UCLA's historic inaugural season in the Big Ten Conference, fans will be able to purchase commemorative tickets for each UCLA Football home game in 2024. These commemorative tickets will feature an image from the game and will serve as a great keepsake for fans to remember their experience with UCLA Football at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Promotions
Several fan giveaways will be offered in 2024. At the season opener, the 2024 UCLA Football schedule poster will be available for the first 10,000 UCLA fans, and UCLA x B1G rally towels will be distributed to the first 20,000 UCLA fans. Additionally, Season Ticket Member Pins will be available for pickup inside Gate A.

Nestled in the hills of the picturesque San Gabriel Valley, the Rose Bowl Stadium offers one of the most unique tailgating experiences in the country. All parking lots are open six hours prior to game-time and remain open for 90 minutes following the conclusion of the game for fans tailgating on their own. Tailgating services are also available. Open to the public, the UCLA Fan Zone is one of the largest and most exciting public tailgating zones in the country. From a wide variety of exciting gameday experiences such as tailgating parties, food vendors, activities, exhibits, beer gardens, and so much more, the Fan Zone is a must-see when attending a UCLA Football game at the Rose Bowl Stadium. Located in Lot H, just outside Gates A&B, the Fan Zone is open to all fans four hours and 15 minutes prior to kickoff and closes 15 minutes to kickoff.

The 2024 Area H Fan Zone features a variety of UCLA's corporate and community partners with booths and exhibits throughout the area, along with interactive games, giveaways, prize wheels, enter to win opportunities, displays and more.

- 1922 ยฝ Pound Dog: a half-pound hot dog topped with shaved beef cheesesteak topped with a 3 pepper Monterey cheese sauce and herb marinated Fresno peppers all in a fresh hoagie roll
- UCLA Bruin Dog: All beef hot dog with Chile de arbol aioli, house made birria, and pickled red habanero onions, topped with fresh cilantro sprigs in a split-top bun.
