LOS ANGELES โ A new docu-series following UCLA Football under Head Coach DeShaun Foster will premiere on Friday, Sept. 13 on YouTube and on UCLA Football's social media accounts. Building Bruins, which is being developed by Moore Street Productions and GTG Studios, will take audiences behind the scenes of UCLA Football during Foster's first season as head coach.
ย
Building Bruins will give a grounded perspective of Coach Foster's journey from being a standout player at UCLA to leading his alma mater as the head coach. The docu-series will chronicle the pivotal first year of his tenure, showcasing his leadership, the challenges of building a powerhouse program, and his passion for shaping the future of UCLA Football.
ย
"This is a pivotal moment in time for UCLA Athletics and for UCLA Football: the first season as a member of the Big Ten Conference, with a beloved and decorated Bruin taking the reins of his alma mater's program," said the Alice and Nahum Lainer Family Director of Athletics Martin Jarmond. "It's an important moment in our history, and one that deserves to be documented. We are excited for Bruin fans and alumni to get an inside look at the new culture of UCLA Football."
ย
"We are incredibly excited to work with DeShaun Foster and UCLA Football on this series," said Spencer Paysinger, co-founder of Moore Street Productions. "As an LA native who witnessed Coach Foster's days as a star running back for UCLA, his story is one of commitment, and we believe this docu-series will capture the heart of UCLA Football and the steadfast approach to building something extraordinary."
ย
Paysinger, a seven-year NFL Veteran and Super Bowl XLVI Champion, and his producing partner, Dane Morck created Moore Street Productions after selling the hit show "All American," inspired by Paysinger's life, to the CW. More recently, Moore Street produced "B S High" for MAX and is developing various scripted and unscripted projects within the industry.ย
ย
"The commitment Martin Jarmond and UCLA have given to Coach Foster is an opportunity every program should strive to achieve," said Morck. "We are honored to capture this pivotal moment for UCLA Football as Coach Foster steps into this new role."
ย
The series will highlight key moments throughout Foster's first season, from his strategies on the field to his mentorship off the field, giving viewers an inside look at the relationships that define success in collegiate athletics. Foster's passion for the game and deep connection to UCLA will resonate through each episode as he builds a culture of excellence and determination among his players.
ย
Building Bruins is executive produced by Los Angeles natives Samir Hernandez and Michael Hammond. Hernandez, an award-winning filmmaker and CEO of GTG Studios, has produced Oscar and Emmy Award-winning programming, such as Two Distant Strangers and 38 at the Garden.
