Jordan Geis Selected Big Ten Freshman of Week

UCLA forward Jordan Geis has been named the Big Ten Women's Soccer Freshman of the Week, becoming the first Bruin player ever to win this award in the Big Ten Conference.
Geis led UCLA to a 2-1 victory at Oregon in their Big Ten Conference opener on Sept. 14. Just two and half minutes after Oregon took a 1-0 lead, the freshman from San Jose, Calif. rallied the Bruins, first drawing the game-tying penalty kick in the 80th minute and then scoring the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute for her first collegiate goal. Geis has played in all nine games for the Bruins this season, making eight starts, and leads the team in shots with 18.
UCLA will next play at Indiana on Thursday, Sept. 19 at 7pm ET.
