Women’s Rowing Celebrates Senior Day Sunday

This Sunday's regatta kicks off at 8 a.m. PT with the second varsity 4+ race.

LOS ANGELES – UCLA Women's Rowing will host the University of San Diego in Marina Del Rey, Calif., on Sunday, April 6.
 
The Bruins come off a strong showing at the San Diego Crew Classic, in which all seven boats made Grand Finals last Sunday, March 30. UCLA's Varsity 4+ finished three seconds ahead of No. 20 Notre Dame and sped past No. 23 Southern California (6th, 7:35.882) and No. 24 Washington State (7th, 7:41.297) to take down three top-25 boats in the V4+ competition at the Crew Classic.
 
This Sunday's regatta kicks off at 8 a.m. PT with the second varsity 4+ race. The first and second varsity 8+ competitions will follow at 8:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., respectively, before the first varsity 4+ boats take to the water. The Bruins will close out the day with novice 8+ and open 8+ competitions at 9 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. PT.
 
UCLA will hold its senior ceremonies and festivities at the conclusion of the races (approximately 10:30 a.m.).

ABOUT UCLA'S BOATHOUSE
For fans looking to attend Saturday's races, spectators should use the public parking lot adjacent to Whiskey Red's at the end of Fiji Way. If parking at that site isn't available, spectators are encouraged to park at the free lot near Dock 52 – approximately a 10-15 minute walk from the Bruins' boathouse.
