No. 15 Men's Golf to Compete at Golf Club of Georgia
October 22, 2025 | Men's Golf
LOS ANGELES – The No. 15-ranked UCLA men's golf team will return to action with its final fall tournament starting this Friday, Oct. 24, at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate Invitational, hosted at The Golf Club of Georgia in Alpharetta, Ga.
The 54-hole, stroke play tournament will run from Friday, Oct. 24, through Sunday, Oct. 26. Fans will be able to follow the scoring action at Scoreboard.
In addition to UCLA and host institution (18) Georgia Tech, the Bruins will be competing later this week against Boston College, (27) Clemson, (29) Duke, (46) Florida State, (61) Loyola Marymount, (14) Pepperdine, (44) Stanford, (24) UNC Charlotte, (26) USC, (9) Utah, (1) Virginia and (34) Washington. Twelve of the 14 teams in this year's field are currently ranked among the top 50 by Scoreboard, powered by Clippd (latest rankings here).
"We are really excited to get out to Atlanta and play in this tournament," UCLA head coach Armen Kirakossian said. "It's one of our guys' favorite trips to attend. This is just a great field on a great golf course, and they do a really good job with the event. Last year, we finished second. We felt like we had played really well and we got beat by a Duke team that had gotten really hot – they beat us and you can't play defense in golf. There is a feeling with this group that we want to come back and put ourselves in the same position and, hopefully this time, close it out. But first, we have to go and have a great practice round and do the things that we want to do to make sure we're the most prepared to play well, execute and let our games come out. We're excited. The weather is looking like it should be good, but it's still about adjusting to a new time zone and some different grass. Our guys are good at adjusting to this kind of stuff, so we will try to do that again, and we're looking forward to having a great event."
Most recently, UCLA secured the team title at the Fighting Irish Classic, hosted by the University of Notre Dame from Oct. 6-7. That marked the Bruins' fourth championship in one year. UCLA shot 1-over 71 in the third round at Warren Golf Course to secure the team title, closing the 54-hole tournament with a score of 7-under 833. Three Bruins finished among the top seven individual competitors at the Fighting Irish Classic – sophomore Baylor Larrabee (T-4th), senior Kyle An (T-5th) and freshman Tyler Loree (T-5th).
Prior to the tournament at Notre Dame earlier this month, the Bruins also competed at the Sahalee Players Championship in the state of Washington and at The Wohali in Utah. Both of those tournaments took place in September.
