November 06, 2025 | Men's Basketball
LOS ANGELES – The UCLA men's basketball team will be one of four college programs competing next season at the 2026 Rady Children's Invitational on the campus of the University of San Diego.
UCLA joins a prestigious field of teams, alongside Georgetown, Texas and Saint Mary's. The two-day college basketball tournament will tip-off on Thanksgiving Day next season and is scheduled for Nov. 26-27, 2026, at USD's Jenny Craig Pavilion.
Each day will feature two games, with the championship and third-place matchups scheduled for Friday, Nov. 27. Tip-off times and broadcast details will be announced at a later date.
This season's Rady Children's Invitational takes place Nov. 27-28 and features Florida, Providence, TCU and Wisconsin. Previous tournament winners have included Oklahoma in 2023 and Purdue in 2024.
Looking at next season's field of four teams, the Bruins have gone 3-1 in the all-time series with Georgetown, 3-3 against Texas, and 11-2 versus Saint Mary's.
UCLA has not faced Georgetown since the fourth game of the 2012-13 season, at the Legends Classic in Brooklyn (Barclays Center). Georgetown won that showdown, 78-70. Later that season, the Bruins faced Texas at Reliant Stadium in Houston – the Bruins defeated the Longhorns, 65-63, in the most recent meeting between the two programs.
The Bruins last played Saint Mary's in the 2022 NCAA Tournament, earning a 72-56 victory in the Round of 32 contest, played in Portland, Ore.
