Amy Acuff Selected to USTFCCCA Hall of Fame Class of 2025

NEW ORLEANS โ UCLA alumna Amy Acuff has been named as one of 12 members in the Class of 2025 for the Collegiate Track & Field Athlete Hall of Fame, it was announced Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Acuff and the other 11 inductees will be enshrined on Sunday, June 8 at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts in Eugene, Ore. The ceremony will be held three days ahead of the start of the 2025 NCAA Division I Outdoor Track & Field Championships at Hayward Field on the campus of Oregon.
A native of Corpus Christi, Texas, Acuff becomes the third Bruin to be enshrined in the USTFCCCA Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame. Jackie Joyner-Kersee was a member of the inaugural class in 2022, followed by Seilala Sua in 2023.
Acuff was previously inducted into the UCLA Athletics Hall of Fame in 2007, and the Texas Track & Field Coaches Hall of Fame in 2015.
A record-breaking jumper at UCLA from 1994-97, Acuff was the Pac-10 high jump champion in each of her four years, becoming the first woman in league history to win four straight individual titles. She won five NCAA high jump titles as a Bruin โ three indoor in in 1994-95 and 1997, and two outdoor in 1995-96 โ and set a then-NCAA record by clearing 6-6. She was twice named Pac-10 Female Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
She is still the program's high jump record-holder, both indoor (6-5.5) and outdoor (6-6).
Internationally, Acuff competed at five Olympics, highlighted by a fourth-place result at the 2004 Athens Games. She was also a six-time U.S. Outdoor Champion, and five-time U.S. Indoor Champion.
The Collegiate Athlete Hall of Fame was established in 2022 to honor the best of the best in collegiate track & field and cross country. The Hall of Fame recognizes the achievements of athletes who have left a lasting mark on the sport during their time in college.
