ROTATION ORDERย
The rotation order for the national semifinals was determined by blind draw prior to the selections. The Bruins will begin the semifinals on floor exercise in rotation one and will end on balance beam. This is the same rotation UCLA had in each round of the Regionals. Starting on vault will be Michigan State. LSU begins on uneven bars, and Utah starts on balance beam.

NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY ย
The Bruins have won seven NCAA championships, most recently in 2018, winning after a perfect 10 on beam by Peng-Peng Lee on the final routine of the meet. Her score gave the Bruins a 0.0375 win over second-place Oklahoma. UCLA's NCAA titles came in 1997 at Florida, 2000 at Boise State, 2001 at Georgia, 2003 at Nebraska, 2004 at UCLA, 2010 at Florida and 2018 in St. Louis. This is UCLA's 37th overall appearance in the 43 NCAA Championships and third in the new eight-team format that debuted in 2019. UCLA placed fifth in its last NCAA Championship in 2023, with Jordan Chiles capturing the NCAA uneven bars and floor exercise titles. ย

UCLA's INDIVIDUAL NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP HISTORY ย
UCLA ranks first all-time with 42 NCAA individual titles, tied with Georgia, who also has 42. Jordan Chiles became the 22nd Bruin to win an NCAA individual championship, capturing the uneven bars and floor exercise titles in 2023. Since 2000, the Bruins have captured 31 individual titles, the most of any school during that time period. ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย

NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP NOTES ย
*Only eight teams have ever won the NCAA title in the 41 years of the Championships - Georgia (10), Utah (9), UCLA (7), Alabama (6), Oklahoma (6), Florida (3), Michigan (1) and LSU (1). For the first 15 years of the Championship, only Utah, Georgia and Alabama had ever won the team title. UCLA broke the stranglehold in 1997. It took 16 years for another new team - Florida in 2013 - to win a title, and Oklahoma joined the party in 2014, tying with Florida for the championship. Michigan won its first in 2021, and LSU won its first in 2024. ย  ย
*Five of the eight schools who qualified for the 2024 Championships return in 2025 - LSU (1st place), Utah (3rd), Florida (4th), Oklahoma (6th) and Alabama (8th). The remaining three teams - California (2nd), Stanford (5th) and Arkansas (7th) - did not advance. Back in the championship field after a one-year absence is UCLA. Missouri returns for the first time since 2022, and Michigan State is making its first appearance since 1988.ย
*There are six reigning or former individual champions in the field. The reigning champions are 2024 all-around champion and 2021 vault champion Haleigh Bryant (LSU), uneven bars co-champions Audrey Davis (Oklahoma) and Leanne Wong (Florida), balance beam co-champions Davis and Faith Torrez (Oklahoma), and floor champion Aleah Finnegan (LSU). The 2023 NCAA bars and floor champion Jordan Chiles (UCLA) also returns. ย  ย ย
*UCLA has won either a team or an individual NCAA title in each of the last six Championships it has attended as a team: 2023 - Jordan Chiles (UB, FX); 2019 - Kyla Ross (V, FX); 2018 - Team, Peng-Peng Lee (BB), Katelyn Ohashi (FX); 2017 - Kyla Ross (UB, BB); 2016 - Danusia Francis (BB); 2015 - Samantha Peszek (AA, BB). ย  ย  ย  ย
*UCLA and Georgia are tied for first among all schools with 42 individual titles. Utah is third with second among all schools with 40 individual titles. Georgia leads all teams with 42. Utah has 32, and Alabama has 28.
*Seven of the Top 8 teams in the final regular season rankings qualified for the NCAA Championships - No. 1 LSU, No. 2 Oklahoma, No. 3 Florida, No. 4 Utah, No. 5 UCLA, No. 7 Missouri and No. 8 Michigan State. Advancing out of the Top 8 was No. 12 Alabama.

UCLA vs. NCAA FIELD ย
The Bruins have matched up against just two of the seven other teams in the NCAA field this season. The Bruins are 2-0 vs. Michigan State and 0-2 vs. Utah. ย

NCAA EXPERIENCE ย ย
Six Bruins have previous NCAA Championship experience, as Ciena Alipio, Chae Campbell, Jordan Chiles, Emily Lee, Emma Malabuyo and Brooklyn Moors all competed at the 2023 NCAA Championships. Campbell has the most Championships experience on the team, having also qualified as an individual in the all-around in 2021 and on floor exercise in 2024. Campbell placed fifth overall on balance beam and seventh on floor exercise in 2021 and has an exceptional track record at the Championships, with six of her eight scores going 9.900 or higher and no score under 9.8375. Chiles has competed at the Championships in each of her two years as a Bruin. She qualified on uneven bars and floor exercise in 2022 as a freshman. In 2023, she won the uneven bars title with a perfect 10 and captured first place on floor exercise with a nearly-perfect 9.9875 and was 0.05 away from winning the all-around, placing second with a score of 39.7125. ย ย

REGIONAL FINAL RECAP ย
UCLA booked its ticket to the NCAA Gymnastics Championships after finishing in second place at the NCAA Regional Final. The Bruins scored 197.625, just two-tenths behind first-place and No. 4 seed Utah, who scored 197.825. Denver placed third with a score of 197.350, and Minnesota was fourth with a 196.825. UCLA was in second place after each rotation and maintained its hold on the Top 2 throughout, clinching the NCAA berth after scoring 49.425 on balance beam in the final rotation. Denver led the competition after both the first and second rotations after strong showings on balance beam (49.550) and floor exercise (49.500), but a sub-49 score on vault dropped them into third going into the final rotation, where they were unable to catch either the Bruins or Utes. ย  ย

SECOND ROUND RECAP ย
UCLA advanced to the Regional Final after a first-place finish in Session I of the NCAA Regional Second Round in Salt Lake City, Utah. The Bruins scored 197.750, their third-highest score of the season, to finish ahead of No. 12 seed Minnesota, who also advanced with a score of 197.200. UCLA recorded 49.500 scores on floor exercise to start the meet and balance beam to end the meet and added a season-high 49.450 on vault. Jordan Chiles earned three scores of 9.950 or higher and finished with the highest all-around total of the session with a 39.600. She scored a 9.975 on floor exercise, a season-high-tying 9.950 on vault and a new season-high of 9.950 on balance beam. Brooklyn Moors also had a strong showing, posting a new career-high of 9.925 on vault and earning a 10 from one of the four judges on floor and a final score of 9.950. ย

CHILES WINS THREE REGIONAL TITLES ย
Junior Jordan Chiles took home three NCAA Regional titles at the Salt Lake City Regional, winning the vault (9.950), beam (9.950) and floor (9.975) titles. She also placed second in the all-around with a score of 39.600. Chiles also won three Regional titles in 2023, taking home the all-around, bars and floor titles as a sophomore. ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย

CONSISTENCY IS KEY ย ย
UCLA has been one of the most consistent teams in the country this season, posting 13 consecutive scores of 197 or higher. Only Oklahoma has also accomplished this feat this season, holding a streak of 15 meets. The Bruins have scored 49+ in 52 consecutive rotations - every event since the second meet of the season. UCLA has a 49+ streak of 50 meets on floor exercise, the longest streak in school history. The Bruins' last sub-49 score came on Jan. 30, 2022. UCLA also has a 49+ streak of 17 meets on balance beam, with its last sub-49 coming March 9, 2024. ย

Three Bruin regulars have hit all of their routines this season, with Brooklyn Moors going 39-for-39, Macy McGowan going 36-for-36, Emily Lee hitting 31-for-31, and Frida Esparza hitting 14-for-14. Lee has hit all 110 of her career routines without a fall. Chae Campbell has hit 52 consecutive routines, and Brooklyn Moors has hit 49 straight.ย

ROAD WARRIORS ย ย
UCLA has spent the majority of its season on the road, with just four home meets and five away meets in locations at least two time zones ahead of home. However, UCLA's Top 3 scores this season have come on the road - 198.450 at Big Ten Championships in Michigan, 197.950 at Washington and 197.750 at NCAA Regionals Second Round at Utah. UCLA's scoring average on the road since Week 2 is 197.672, while its home average is 197.463. ย ย

IN THE RANKINGS ย
UCLA finished the regular season ranked No. 5 in the national rankings and No. 1 on floor exercise, No. 4 on balance beam, No. 7 on vault and No. 8 on uneven bars. Jordan Chiles finished her sixth-straight week at No. 1 on floor, while Brooklyn Moors moved up to No. 3. Four Bruins are ranked on balance beam - Emma Malabuyo (No. 6), Ciena Alipio and Chae Campbell (No. 15) and Emily Lee (No. 20). Two Bruins are ranked on vault - Chiles (No. 7) and Chae Campbell (No. 15). Chiles and Frida Esparza are tied for seventh on uneven bars. Chiles ranks No. 11 and Campbell No. 20 in the all-around.

ALL-AMERICAN LEADERS ย
Six Bruin gymnasts earned a total of 10 WCGA regular season All-America honors for 2025. The six honorees are the most by any school this season and also tie a school record set by the 2018 and 2019 squads. Jordan Chiles led the Bruins with four All-America honors (first-team vault, bars and floor; second-team all-around), boosting her career total to 13. Chae Campbell was UCLA's other multi-event All-American, earning second-team acclaim on vault and beam to increase her career total to 10 All-America awards. Emma Malabuyo became a three-time All-American after receiving first-team honors on beam. Earning first-time honors were Brooklyn Moors (first-team floor), Frida Esparza (first-team bars) and Ciena Alipio (second-team beam). ย
ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย
BRUINS SWEEP BIG TEN ย
UCLA swept through the Big Ten in its first year in the conference, going unbeaten in conference play to win the regular season title and then winning the Big Ten Championships with a Championship record score of 198.450. The Bruins became the first UCLA team to win both the regular season and conference championships in the same year. UCLA's last conference sweep came in 2019, when it went 7-0 in Pac-12 Conference play and won the Pac-12 Championships with a record score of 198.400. The conference championship was UCLA's 21st of all-time (1 Big Ten, 19 Pac-12, 1 WCAA). The Bruins have also won two regular season conference titles (one each in the Big Ten and Pac-12). ย  ย

PERFECT TRIO
Three Bruins scored perfect 10s at the Big Ten Championships - Ciena Alipio on balance beam and Brooklyn Moors and Jordan Chiles on floor exercise. The last time three different Bruins scored perfect 10s in a meet was Feb. 4, 2018, when Peng-Peng Lee scored a 10 on beam and Felicia Hano and Katelyn Ohashi scored 10s on floor. Alipio's 10 was the first of her career and the first by a Bruin on beam since Emma Malabuyo on Mar. 12, 2022. Moors' perfect score was also the first of her career. She becomes the 19th Bruin to score a 10 on floor exercise. Chiles earned her second floor 10 of the year and third overall 10 of the season. She now has 11 career 10s (six on floor and five on bars), tying Katelyn Ohashi for fourth overall in career perfect 10s by a Bruin. UCLA now has 174 perfect 10s in school history. ย  ย ย

UCLA JOINS 198 CLUB
UCLA's introduction to the 198 club in 2025 was a big one, as the Bruins recorded the nation's second-highest away score of the season, 198.450, to win the Big Ten title. The 198.450 score was also a Big Ten Championship record and the second-highest score ever by a Big Ten team. UCLA set other records at the Big Ten Championships, tying its school record on balance beam with a 49.750 and tying its Big Ten record on floor exercise with a 49.800. ย ย

BEST SHOW IN LA ... AND AROUND THE COUNTRY ย
UCLA has been competing in front of big crowds all over the country this season. On March 9, the Bruins set a new home attendance record, attracting 12,918 fans for their home finale against Stanford. The Bruins averaged 9,185 fans at home this season, the second-largest average in school history. UCLA has been a big draw on the road as well. The Bruins' attendance average in road meets is 7,768, with a school-record 7,287 in attendance at Maryland, the second-largest crowd in Washington history (7,046), 11,314 at Michigan, and a program record crowd of 3,695 at Ohio State. UCLA also competed in front of a sold-out crowd of 15,558 at Utah on March 15. ย

CHILES REALLY IS THAT GIRL ย
In the past two months, junior Jordan Chiles was featured in Nike's Super Bowl commercial, honored by Time Magazine as one of its 2025 Women of the Year, appeared on "Good Morning America", "The Jennifer Hudson Show" and "SportsCenter", and released her New York Times best-selling book, I'm That Girl, all while competing every weekend for the Bruins. Chiles has seamlessly made the transition from Olympic medalist to UCLA Bruin (again). She made her much-anticipated return to UCLA after a one-year absence to train for and ultimately win gold and bronze at the 2024 Olympics. She rejoined the Bruin team on Dec. 14 after the fall quarter ended and has competed on at least three events in every meet, even with limited training time prior to the season. The six-time Big Ten Gymnast of the Week has five all-around victories in 10 all-around attempts and scored a season-best 39.750 on March 9, the highest all-around score in the Big Ten this season. She was ranked No. 1 in the nation on floor exercise for the last six weeks of the season and is also ranked No. 7 on vault and uneven bars. Chiles earned four regular season All-America honors, receiving first-team acclaim on vault, bars and floor and second-team honors in the all-around.ย

Chiles scored her first perfect 10 of the year at Maryland on Jan. 18, receiving a perfect mark on uneven bars, and she added her first floor 10 of 2025 on ย Feb. 1, a walk-off 10 to clinch a UCLA comeback victory over Michigan State on the final routine of the meet. She ended another meet with a 10 on floor on Mar. 22 at the Big Ten Championships, putting a cherry on top of the Bruins' conference championship with her sixth career floor 10 and 11th 10 overall. She is now tied with Katelyn Ohashi for No. 4 all-time at UCLA in career perfect 10s. She is also No. 3 on bars with five 10s and on floor with six 10s. Only Kyla Ross (11) and Jamie Dantzscher (7) have scored more 10s on bars, and only Dantzscher (17) and Ohashi (9) have more than Chiles on floor. During Chiles' last NCAA season in 2023, she captured the NCAA uneven bars and floor exercise titles and helped lead UCLA to a fifth-place NCAA finish and Pac-12 regular season co-championship.ย

ALL-AROUND EXCELLENCE ย ย
Graduate student Chae Campbell has competed in the all-around in 12 meets, averaging a Big Ten-best 39.475. She ranks No. 20 in the nation with a 39.495 NQS. Campbell has finished in the Top 3 in the all-around in 10 meets this season and has three victories, most recently winning the Big Ten all-around title with a career-high-tying 39.725. Campbell has been strong on all four events this season, earning second-team All-America honors on vault and beam and ranking 15th nationally on those two events. She averages 9.883 on her 9.950 start-value vault and posted highs of 9.925 four times this year. Beam has become a strong suit for Campbell this season, as she is averaging 9.855 with six scores of 9.900 or higher. She has scored a career-high 9.950 twice this season. On floor, Campbell averages 9.894 on the year, with a high of 9.975 set Feb. 1 against Michigan State. She scored a season-high of 9.900 on uneven bars in the leadoff position at the Big Ten Championships.

GIMME MOORS ย
2020 Canadian Olympian Brooklyn Moors has been ranked in the Top 5 on floor exercise all season, including a two-week stint at No. 1. She finished the regular season ranked third in the nation with a NQS of 9.960, and she holds the second-highest season average in the nation, 9.948. Moors has not scored lower than 9.900 this year and has 11 scores of 9.950 or higher, including her first career perfect 10 to claim a share of the Big Ten title. Moors has placed in the Top 3 on floor in every meet and has captured seven event titles. She has competed on at least two events in every meet this season and on three events in 11, hitting all 39 of her routines. She has posted career-highs this season on all three events - 10.0 on floor, 9.925 on vault and 9.900 on beam. The last season she competed in three events was 2022, as she has mostly served as a floor specialist the last two years while dealing with injuries. The first-team floor exercise All-American ranks second on the team with 11 scores of 9.95 or higher this season. ย ย

BUYO BEAM QUEEN ย ย
Senior Emma Malabuyo has solidified her status as one of the best beam workers in the NCAA, ranking in the Top 10 all season long. The first-team balance beam All-American ranks No. 6 in the nation with an NQS of 9.935 and holds a season average of 9.905. She has scored 9.900 or higher in 12 of 14 meets this season, with a high of 9.975, and has earned Top 2 finishes in nine meets, including a team-best five wins. The 2024 Philippines Olympian and two-time All-American averages 9.869 on beam in her career and has 12 scores of 9.950 or better, including one 10.0 and five 9.975s. She has also been strong on floor exercise, recording a NQS of 9.900. Malabuyo averages 9.846 on floor over her career and tied her career-best of 9.950 at the Big Ten Championships. On uneven bars, she has recorded career-high marks of 9.925 twice this season, most recently at Michigan on Feb. 23. Malabuyo ranks second on the Bruin squad in 9.9+ scores with 23, including a team-high 12 on beam. ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย

FOLLOW THE LEE-DER ย ย
In her usual No. 1 spot on balance beam, leadoff legend Emily Lee sets the tone for the No. 3 beam squad in the nation. The Bruins are averaging 49.396 on beam and have earned 49.4 or higher 10 times this year, including eight times on the road. Lee has eight leadoff scores of 9.900 or higher, including a season-high and meet-winning 9.925 on Feb. 14 and another 9.925 on March 9. Her 9.900 at Washington was the first of six 9.9+ scores on beam, marking the first time since 2016 that a UCLA team had all six competitors score 9.9 or higher on beam. The Bruins matched that feat on March 9 with another full set of 9.9+ scores against Stanford. In her career as a leadoff performer on beam, Lee is averaging 9.852 and has scored 9.900 or higher 56% of the time (23 times in 41 meets). Her leadoff prowess is not confined to beam. As the vault leadoff this year, she is averaging 9.823 with a high of 9.900 set twice, and in four floor leadoff performances, she is averaging 9.825. She made her floor season debut against Michigan State on Feb. 1, scoring 9.875 to help the Bruins post a national-best 49.800 floor mark. A queen of consistency, Lee has hit all 110 of her routines in her career without a fall, with her only sub-9.6 score coming due to a low start value. ย  ย ย

C-ING TENS ย  ย ย
Junior Ciena Alipio scored her first career perfect 10 on a big stage, winning a share of the Big Ten balance beam title and leading the Bruins to a school record beam score of 49.750. Alipio became just the third Bruin to score a perfect 10 on beam at the conference championships, joining Kyla Ross and Peng-Peng Lee. Alipio earned her first career All-America honor this year, receiving second-team regular season acclaim after finishing the regular season ranked No. 15 in the nation with a NQS of 9.915. She also earned her first career all-conference nod, being selected to the All-Big Ten second team. Alipio has scored 9.850 or better in 11 meets this season and 9.900 or higher in eight meets, including five in a row. She is averaging 9.925 over the last five meets. ย  ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย

ELECTRIC ESPARZA ย  ย
Graduate student Frida Esparza had been electric for the Bruins this season on uneven bars, ranking No. 7 nationally with a NQS of 9.940 and earning first-team regular season All-America honors. She had a career night on Feb. 14 against Penn State, starting the day by playing the national anthem on electric guitar and then ending it by tying for first place on uneven bars with a career-high 9.975, earning a perfect 10 from one of the two judges for the first time in her career. Esparza leads the team with six uneven bars victories and nine Top 3 finishes and was named to the All-Big Ten second team. She has scored 9.950 in two of her last three meets. ย  ย  ย  ย  ย ย

FABULOUS FRESHMEN ย  ย
Macy McGowan and Mika Webster-Longin, each three-time Level 10 National champions, have been integral competitors on the Bruin squad all season, ranking fifth and sixth, respectively, on the team in routines competed. McGowan has hit all 36 of her routines this season and averages over 9.8 on each of her three events, including 9.856 on floor and 9.846 on bars. She has career-best marks of 9.900 on vault and bars and 9.950 on floor and has compiled eight scores of 9.900 or higher this year, including five on floor. In her last meet at the Big Ten Championships, she contributed a pair of 9.900s on bars and floor. Webster-Longin has competed in every meet for UCLA and made her all-around debut at Utah March 15, scoring 39.175. She has hit her stride during postseason competition. At the Big Ten Championships, she tied for third on vault with a career-high-tying 9.925 and added a 9.900 on uneven bars. She hit three 9.850s at the NCAA Regional Second Round and then scored a pair of career-highs in the NCAA Regional Final. At the Regional Final, she earned a career-high 9.950 on vault, tied her career-best on floor with a 9.900 and scored another 9.850 on bars. Her average score in postseason competition is 9.884. ROSEN RETURNS ย  ย ย
Sophomore Katelyn Rosen made a triumphant return to the competitive lineup at the Big Ten Championships after some early season struggles. In her first competition in nearly two months, she hit a 9.925 on balance beam in the two spot to help the Bruins achieve a school record-tying beam score of 49.750, earning a perfect 10 from one of the four judges. Rosen also competed on floor exercise, leading off with a season-best 9.875 to get UCLA started towards a 49.800 floor score and Championship victory. She continued her success at the NCAA Regionals, contributing six scores of 9.800 or higher over the two days, including three 9.850s. Rosen had regained her spot in the lineup after a stellar performance at Utah on March 15, hitting 9.850 on bars, 9.800 on floor and 9.875 on beam in exhibition performances. Last season, she was an all-conference performer in the all-around and posted career-high scores of 9.950 on beam and floor, 9.925 on uneven bars and 9.900 on vault. ย
