The UCLA women's soccer team will host LMU on Wednesday, Aug. 5 in an exhibition contest at Wallis Annenberg Stadium at 6 p.m. Admission is free.

Prior to the exhibition match, the Bruins will host an exclusive Meet the Team event from 3-5 p.m. for fans to connect with and hear from the UCLA coaches and players ahead of the season. Admission is $20 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Register here.
  
UCLA returns five starters from last year's squad that finished the year 12-3-4. Among the starters returning are all-conference defender Paloma Daubert and Big Ten all-freshmen Daphne Nakfoor and Grace Shank. Also back for the Bruins is top returning goal-scorer Payten Cooper (three goals) and all-conference forward Kara Croone. The Bruins also return the services of 2024 Big Ten Freshman of the Year Nicki Fraser. Gof Boyoko, who was promoted from Associate Head Coach to Head Coach in December, welcomes seven transfers to the squad, including all-region players Olivia Woodson from Auburn and Ava Priest from Colorado, as well as U.S. U-20 National Team defender Abby Gemma from Florida. The freshman class includes U-17 National Team players from four different countries - Mia Corona (U.S.), Bela Araujo (Brazil), Anaiya Miyazato (Mexico) and Molly Hale (Canada) - and U.S. U-16 National Team player Thea Perry. 

LMU finished 2025 with a 5-7-5 record. The Lions' top returning scorer is defender Emma Gustad Myklebust, who scored three goals a year ago. LMU is coached by Chris Chamides.  

The women's soccer team will be the first Bruin squad in action in 2025-26 and will officially open the season on Wednesday, Aug. 12 with a home match against BYU at 7 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at uclabruins.com/tickets.
