Four-time NCAA champion and 2024 Olympic gold medalist Jordan Chiles will join the 2027 UCLA Gymnastics coaching staff as a student coach.
Chiles completed her collegiate career (2021-26) as a 23-time All-American, seven-time conference champion and 19-time perfect 10 scorer. As a senior in 2026, she won the AAI Award as the top senior gymnast in the nation and was awarded the West Region Gymnast of the Year for the second time and the Big Ten Gymnast of the Year. She won the all-around and three individual titles at the Big Ten Championships, including the floor exercise with a perfect 10, and captured her program-record 10th NCAA Regional title with wins on vault and floor. In Chiles' final competition as a Bruin, she won the NCAA floor exercise title for the second time in her career. Chiles won the NCAA uneven bars titles in 2025 and 2023.
A two-time Olympian, Chiles won a silver medal with the U.S. team in 2020 and team gold in 2024. She was also awarded bronze on floor exercise at the Paris Olympics. In 2022, she won three medals at the World Championships, capturing team gold and vault and floor silver. Chiles was on the U.S. National Team for a USA Gymnastics record 11 years.
Her accomplishments extend far beyond gymnastics. Chiles was a finalist on "Dancing with the Stars" just prior to her senior season, was named a TIME Magazine Woman of the Year in 2025 and selected to TIME Magazine's 100 Most Influential People in Sports in 2026, and authored a New York Times Best-Seller, I’m That Girl. A two-time member of the UCLA Director's Honor Roll, she will be finishing her studies in African American Studies.
