Guichard Named a Big Ten Women's Tennis Player to Watch

ROSEMONT, Ill. – UCLA's Ahmani Guichard was named Monday to the 2026 Big Ten Women's Tennis Players to Watch list, the conference announced. Each member university has a representative on the list.
Guichard has already had a standout season, logging six singles wins during tournament play to lead the Bruins. She The junior also has a team-high five doubles victories alongside partners Kayla Chung and Kate Fakih. Guichard earned her first Big Ten Player of the Week award after prevailing in four of five singles matches played at the ITA All-American Championships. One of her wins came in straight sets against No. 99 Divna Ratkovic of Rice.
A native of Seminole, Fla., Guichard holds a 36-29 singles record and a 57-20 doubles mark across her three seasons. Her standout moment thus far came during the 2025 portion of the NCAA Championships, when she came out on top of a 3-6, 6-3, 7-6(6) thriller to push UCLA past host and 15th-seeded Vanderbilt in the second round. Guichard logged 28 doubles triumphs in 2024-25 and reached a career-best No. 28 in the ITA doubles rankings with partner Anne-Christine Lutkemeyer.
Guichard's successes at UCLA extend off the court, as she has collected a number of academic honors. She is a two-time ITA Scholar-Athlete and was named to the CSC Academic All-District Team in 2025. Guichard also qualified for the Big Ten Spring Academic Honor Roll while being tabbed a Big Ten Distinguished Scholar in 2025.
