Seth Burton to Lead Communications for UCLA Athletics

In this role, Burton serves as the chief communications and public relations executive for UCLA Athletics and UCLA Football. He is a member of the cabinet staff of Alice and Nahum Lainer Family Director of Athletics Martin Jarmond, providing strategic leadership, direction and oversight across all internal and external communications.

Burton joins UCLA with more than two decades of high-level communications experience, primarily in the Los Angeles market. He comes to UCLA from Los Angeles Football Club (LAFC), where, as the club's Senior Vice President of Communications & Content, he helped launch one of the most successful expansion team brands in U.S. sports history while leading the development and execution of LAFC and BMO Stadium's integrated communications and content strategy. He spent 11 seasons with the Los Angeles Clippers (2006-2017), the last four as Vice President of Communications. He previously worked in communications roles for the LA Galaxy, San Jose Earthquakes and New England Revolution. His experience spans all facets of communications, including media relations, crisis communications, executive communications, events and reputation and brand management.
Burton graduated from James Madison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications and a minor in Political Science.
