UCLA Gymnastics Signs Madison Stewart for 2027

Level 10 standout Madison Stewart has signed a grant-in-aid to join UCLA in 2027, The R.C. Rothman UCLA Head Gymnastics Coach Janelle McDonald announced today.
The Chicago native is a six-time Development Program National qualifier and 2024 Level 10 national vault champion from Legacy Elite Gymnastics. Just last weekend, Stewart won the Region 5 all-around, vault and balance beam titles and has captured a total of 11 regional championships in her career, including six in a row on vault. At last year's Development Program Nationals, she placed fifth in the all-around and second on vault. At the state level, she has a total of 13 titles. She won the all-around, vault and bars at the 2026 Illinois State Championships in March and captured the State vault titles in both 2023 and 2025 with 10.0s. Stewart captured the junior vault title at the 2023 Nastia Cup.

"She is a dynamic gymnast whose consistent competition results and high level of difficulty has made her known as one of the top Level 10 gymnasts in the country. She will come in and make an immediate impact for us with her strong competition experience. She shows competitive greatness out on the competition floor, all while having a fun and sweet demeanor that will combine for a positive impact on our team culture. I cannot wait to welcome Madison to Westwood!"ย
Stewart joins an impressive freshman class that includes U.S. National Team member and 2024 U.S. Olympic Trials participant Zoey Molomo, Mexican National Team member and four-time Pan American Championships medalist Michelle Pineda, 2024 Development Program National all-around champion Cami Tassone and three-time Region 1 uneven bars champion Brooke Katz.
