Three Bruins Earn NFCA All-America Honors

LOUISVILLE, Ky. โ Seniors Megan Grant and Jordan Woolery and sophomore Rylee Slimp were named 2026 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Americans, it was announced by the committee Wednesday afternoon. Grant (OF) and Woolery (1B) were both selected to the First Team for a second consecutive season.

Slimp (At-Large/OF) was named an All-American for the first time in her career, being awarded Third Team.

UCLA leads all NCAA Division I programs with 119 NSCA/NFCA All-America citations, four ahead of runner-up Arizona with 115. The Bruins' three All-Americans are tied for fourth-most in NCAA Division I this season, trailing only Florida State, Oklahoma andย Texas Tech with four apiece.

Grant and Woolery become the 22nd and 23rd players in program history to both be named an NFCA All-American three or more times in a career and earn First Team honors multiple times.

Grant and Woolery have made home run history this year, becoming the first teammates to each hit at least 30 dingers in the same season. They lead all duos nationally with a combined 199 RBIs and 74 home runs.

Grant has put together one of the most prolific seasons in college softball history, setting an NCAA record with 40 home runs. The San Bruno, California, native has also posted nation-leading marks in slugging percentage (1.333), on-base percentage (.650), OPS (1.983) and walks (74). Her slugging percentage is also on pace to set an NCAA single-season record.

Her slugging percentage and OPS are on track to break UCLA single-season records. She also ranks second in UCLA single-season history in runs scored (85), walks (74) and total bases (196), while ranking third in RBIs (87).

Grant's 74 walks are tied for the most by a Division I player over the last 14 seasons. Including hits, walks and hit-by-pitches, Grant has reached base in 156 of her 240 plate appearances and in 58 of 60 games this season. She has struck out just 12 times in those 240 plate appearances and has not struck out more than once in a game all year.

Grant broke the NCAA single-season home run record previously held by Arizona's Laura Espinoza with her 38th homer of the year in the Big Ten Tournament championship game against Nebraska on May 9. In UCLA's NCAA Regional final against South Carolina, Grant hit a grand slam to become the first player in NCAA history to eclipse 40 home runs in a season.

In addition to her power numbers, Grant ranks sixth nationally with a .469 batting average, with 40 of her 69 hits leaving the yard. When pitchers have given Grant the opportunity to swing, she has homered in 27.2% of her 147 at-bats.

Jordan Woolery, First Team (1B)
Woolery is on pace to become the first player in Division I history to hit .500 or better with at least 30 home runs and 100 RBIs in the same season. The Walnut Creek, California, native ranks second in NCAA history this season with 112 RBIs and 216 total bases, trailing only Espinoza's records set in 1995.

Woolery ranks second in the nation behind teammate Grant in both slugging percentage (1.161) and OPS (1.756). Her 34 home runs are tied for the third-most in the country this season and rank fifth all-time. She also ranks second in UCLA single-season history in slugging percentage and OPS and sits third in runs scored with 76.

Woolery also ranks among the nation's top five this season in batting average (.500), hits (93) and on-base percentage (.595). She leads the team with 31 multi-RBI games and 29 multi-hit performances.

She has also been one of the nation's top defensive first basemen, ranking third at her position in defensive runs saved (6.59), according to data platform 643 Charts. Woolery owns a .992 fielding percentage with just three errors in 369 chances.

Rylee Slimp, Third Team (At-Large/OF)
Slimp, the Bruins' lead-off hitter for all 60 games, has set a program record with 94 runs scored and is tied for third in NCAA history in that category. She passed Natasha Watley's mark of 75 runs scored over 68 games during the 2001 season.
Nationally, Slimp ranks in the top-20 in hits (83) and total bases (153). Slimp also ranks fifth on the team this year with 16 home runs after hitting just two homers during her true freshman campaign.

One of UCLA's toughest outs, Slimp has averaged a team-leading 4.2 pitches per plate appearances (1,001 pitches, 241 PA). She also leads the team with 176 balls batted into play over her 241 plate appearances (73.0%).
