Was a four-year letterwinner in beach volleyball and earned one as a middle blocker on the indoor team at Mira Costa High School ... In 2018, Monk paired with incoming Bruin Abby Van Winkle paired up to take first in the AVPFirst National Championships (150 teams qualified for championships) ... also paired with Van Winkle to place second in the AAU Junior Olympics, second at AAU Nationals, third at the AAU Pan Pacific Championship and first at the AVPNext Tournament ... also placed third at the BVCA National Championships with Lexi McKeown and first (for the second straight year) at the IBVL State Championships with Maya Harvey ... was named All-American Team One and as an AVCA High School Beach First Team All-American in 2018 ... was on the three's team her freshman year for the IBVL Championships and was on the one's team her sophomore and junior seasons for IBVL Championships ... placed first during her sophomore season in the IBVL Pairs Tournament ... competed for Elite Beach Volleyball, winning the BVCA in 2017 and has been a part of High Performance for beach volleyball for five years.
