Stroked the second varsity eight (2V8+) crew during her senior campaign โฆ was named to the Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll for the third consecutive season โฆ served as one of three team captains during her senior season, along with Olivia Caesar and Jane DiLauro โฆ was one of 12 UCLA student-athletes named as a 2022 Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar (announced by Diverse: Issues in Higher Education in April of 2022) โฆ since 1992, Arthur Ashe Jr. Sports Scholar awards have been presented to undergraduate students of color who have excelled in the classroom and in athletics โฆ stroked the Bruinsโ 2V8+ crew at the season-opening dual-meet regatta against USC (March 13) โฆ stroked the 2V8+ boat at the two-day San Diego Crew Classic (March 26-27), leading UCLA to a third-place finish on the first day of action at Mission Bay โฆ stroked the 2V8+ crew at the two-day Pac-12 Invitational at Lake Las Vegas in Henderson, Nev. Rowed primarily in the Bruinsโ second varsity eight (2V8+) crew during her junior season โฆ earned Pac-12 Spring Academic Honor Roll acclaim for the second straight year โฆ stroked the Bruinsโ varsity four (V4+) crew in the teamโs season-opening dual-meet win against Loyola Marymount (March 13) โฆ stroked the 2V8+ crew in a dual-meet victory against USC (March 27) โฆ also stroked the 2V8+ crew in the teamโs dual-meet win against the University of San Diego (April 24) โฆ stroked the 2V8+ crew in races against Stanford and USC (May 1) โฆ stroked the 2V8+ crew at the Pac-12 Championships on Lake Natoma (May 16).

Rowed two seat in the Bruinsโ novice eight crew (N8+) in a dual-meet contest against USC (May 11) and at the Pac-12 Championships at Lake Natoma (May 19) โฆ the novice eight crew finished third in a four-boat race at the Pac-12 Championships.

Attended Colegio Nueva Granada in Bogotá (Colombia) โฆ played soccer in high school (at the forward position) โฆ also competed as a water-skier in high school โฆ was ranked among the top five in the world in the slalom division in 2017 (waterskiing).

Full name: Paula Jaramillo โฆ born in Houston, Texas โฆ is the oldest of Fernando Jaramillo and Elizabeth Echeverriโs four children โฆ has one younger brother (Federico) and two younger sisters (Isabela, Luisa) โฆ international development studies major.
