Olson blasts two run homer in eighth to break 4-4 tie.

LOS ANGELES -- Senior Cassidy Olson slugged a two out, two run home run in the bottom of the eighth inning off junior David Fausto to break a 4-4 tie, and UCLA held on to defeat Cal State Dominguez, 6-5, in the season opener for both teams.
In the bottom of the eighth inning, with a a run in and runners on first and second, freshman Chase Utley made a great play on a groundball, flipped the ball to second baseman Jack Santora, who threw to first for the double play. Then junior David Alvardo hit a slow chopper to Utley, who fielded it and threw a strike to first to end the game. Utley was 2-4, as well.
Freshman Chad Cislak, who was 14-0 last season at Sabino HS, earned the a victory in his first collegiate start. He pitched four strong innings.
UCLA took 4-0 lead after four innings. Santora led the game off the game He drove in a run in the second inning as well. Casey Cloud notched a RBI-single in the second inning as well.
The Toros came back with four ns in the sixth to tie the game. Tre'mayne Noles hit a sacrifice fly, as did Andy Darlak. Jesse Mora Jr. singled a run.
