LOS ANGELES -- The 15 greatest UCLA women's basketball players of all-time will be introduced and honored at halftime of the UCLA-USC women's basketball game in Pauley Pavilion Saturday, Feb. 21 (2 pm tipoff). Also being honored is the national championship team of 1978 in the 20th anniversary of UCLA women's basketball first national title.
The list of 15 includes two Naismith Basketball Hall of Famers (Denise Curry and Ann Meyers), the Pac-10 Conference Female Athlete of the Decade (Natalie Williams) and a winner of six Olympic medals (Jackie Joyner).
Below is a list of the 15 greatest UCLA women's basketball players (1972-1997):
1. Sheila Adams (early 1970's) These 15 greatest players were selected by a committee that included current UCLA coaches, former UCLA players and coaches and current and former UCLA administrators. The number 15 was chosen to symbolize the amount of scholarships available in the sport of women's basketball.
