Bruins Third after Two Round in Pate Intercollegiates

The Bruins fired rounds of 289 and 276 for a three-under par total of 565 at the par 71, 6,958-yard Old Overton Golf Course in Birmingham, AL. They trail first place Clemson (551) and defending NCAA champion UNLV (557). The University of Houston is in fourth place at 566.
Individually, the Bruins were led by sophomore Jeff McGraw, who fired rounds of 69 and 67 and is in third place with a six-under par total of 136. UNLVs Jeremy Anderson leads the tournament at 132 (67-65), followed by Clemsons John Engler at 135 (71-64).
Bruin senior Byron Schlagenhauf, who won the Northwest Classic two weeks ago, placed in a tie for sixth 140 (71-69), followed by Jason Semelsberger who is tied for 27th at 145 (73-72). Freshman Parker McLachlin (76-70) and sophomore Ross Fulgentis (76-70) are tied for 32nd at 146.
Final round action continues Tuesday.
