Mens Golfers Capture 13th Place at Carpet Capital Classic

The 25th ranked UCLA mens golf team finished in 13th place at the Carpet Capital Classic hosted by Georgia Tech at The Farm in Dalton, GA.
The Bruins three round total of 886 was 22 over par, 28 shots behind first place Georgia. Georgia Tech was second at 860 and South Carolina finished third at 867. The Bruins finished ahead of Tennessee (888) and BYU (890).
Individually for UCLA, senior Byron Schlagenhauf finished in a tie for sixth at 213, three-under par. Freshman Parker McLachlin tied for 25th at 220, sophomore Jeff McGraw tied for 35th at 222 after carding a final round 69, junior Jason Semelsberger tied for 73rd at 231 and Michael Vera finished 84th at 242.
Georgia Techs Bryce Molder won the tournament with a 54-hole total of 204, 12-under par. North Carolina States Carl Pettersson was second at 208, followed by East Tennessee States Eamonn Brady at 211.
