Bruins Finish Fifth at Swimming & Diving Pac-10 Championships

The No. 16 UCLA Bruins finished fifth at the 1999 Pac-10 Women's Swimming and Diving Championships with a score of 856.50. Junior All-American Keiko Price claimed the 100 free title, recording UCLA's 24th individual title. This is the 12th straight year that the Bruins have had an individual Pac-10 champion. Price also finished third in the 50 free, while freshman Katie Younglove took second in the 200 fly.
Nine Bruins met NCAA consideration standards as well as UCLA's 200 and 400 medley relay and 200 free relay teams. Seventeen UCLA swimmers recorded career- best times over the three-day tournament. Divers Anne Baghramian and Delilah More met NCAA diving standards on platform. Next up for the Bruins are NCAA Diving Zonals on Mar. 12-13 in Tempe, AZ and the NCAA Championships on Mar. 18- 20 in Athens, GA.
