Undergraduate Assistant Coach
Three-time All-American Amy Smith joins the UCLA coaching staff as an undergraduate assistant coach while completing her studies as an English major.
Smith earned three letters at UCLA after spending her freshman year at the University of Oklahoma. In her first year at UCLA, she earned first-team All-American honors on the floor exercise. As a senior in 1997, Smith led the Bruins to the NCAA Championship and earned first-team All-American honors on vault and floor. In addition, she became the Pac-10 floor exercise champion and the West Regional vault champion. Smith also won the floor exercise title at the 1996 West Regionals.
Smith hails from Milwaukie, Oregon and competed at the Oregon Gymnastics Academy.
