UCLA Baseball Heads To Louisiana State For NCAA Super Regional

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- After capturing the NCAA regional title at Oklahoma City with a perfect 3-0 record, the UCLA baseball team advances to play Louisiana State in the NCAA Super Regional at Alex Box Stadium in Baton Rouge, La. Friday, June 2 through Sunday June 4.
These teams will meet in a best-of-three-game series with the winner advancing to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. Game times for the weekend have been set for 7 p.m. Central Time (5 p.m. Pacific Time) on Friday, 4 p.m. on Saturday (2 p.m. Pacific Time) and if necessary, 1 p.m. on Sunday (11 a.m. Pacific Time).
All games will be broadcast live on the internet at www.broadcast.com with Jeff Blank and former Bruin Cass Olson calling the action.
The NCAA baseball tournament field has been narrowed down to 16 teams and eight Super Regional sites. The Bruins (38-24 overall) were the No. 1 seed going into the Oklahoma City Regional at the Bricktown Ballpark and captured the title, defeating Delaware 13-12 and host Oklahoma in two straight 10-5 and 11-3. Louisiana State (46-17), a No. 1 regional seed and No. 2 national seed, hosted the Baton Rouge Regional at Alex Box Stadium. The Tigers also won in three straight defeating Jackson State 19-1 and Louisiana-Monroe 21-0 and 5-3.
