Baseball Announces Team Awards

Los Angeles, Calif. - The UCLA baseball team held its end of the season banquet Sunday evening, in which team awards were presented to the players by the Bruin coaching staff.
Junior left-fielder Bill Scott led the pack, earning the Big Stick Award (batter of the year) and the first annual Arthur E. Reichle Memorial Award for outstanding athletic and academic participation, as well as good citizenship. Scott received the award from Reichle's son Richard in an emotional presentation. Reichle, who coached the Bruin baseball team for 30 years, passed away on May 23.
