Walker/Fritz-Krockow Win Pac-10 Doubles Championship

Ojai, Calif. - Sara Walker teamed with parter Mariko Fritz-Krockow to win the doubles title at the Pac-10 Championships Sunday, defeating teammates Lauren Fisher and Petya Marinova, 3-6, 6-1, 6-0 in an all-Bruin final.
It's the second straight Pac-10 title for Walker, who won the Pac-10 singles championship in 2000. Only a freshman, sunday's championship is the first for Fritz-Krockow.
Walker and Fritz-Krockow become the first Bruin team to win the doubles title at Ojai since Keri Phebus and Paige Yaroshuk were winners back in 1996.
UCLA now awaits the announcement of NCAA regional selections on May 7.
