UCLA Sweeps Pac-10 Women's T & F Athlete of the Week Honors

UCLA women swept the Pac-10 Track & Field Athlete of the Week (April 29) honors, with junior Tiffany Burgess taking the track award and senior Tracy O'Hara winning the field honor.

WOMEN'S TRACK - Tiffany Burgess, UCLA. Burgess led a Bruin top-three sweep in the fifth section of the 800m at the UCSD open. Burgess time of 2:06.30 is an NCAA provisional mark and her second-fastest time this season. Burgess, with a top time this year of 2:06.22, is a junior from Van Nuys, Calif.

WOMEN'S FIELD - Tracy O'Hara, UCLA. O'Hara won the pole vault competition at the UCSD open with a mark of 14-3 1/4. The NCAA automatic mark leads the U.S collegiate list and becomes O'Hara's best vault of the outdoor season. O'Hara, the collegiate outdoor record-holder (14-7 1/4), is a senior from San Diego, Calif.

Both Burgess and O'Hara will compete for the Bruins on Saturday, May 4, when UCLA hosts USC in the annual dual meet between the Bruins and the Trojans at Drake Stadium.
