Rashad Parker Agrees To Terms With New York Mets

Los Angeles - Rashad Parker (Santa Monica, CA/Crossroads HS) has agreed to terms with the New York Mets organization and has been assigned to the Brooklyn Mets of the New York-Penn League. The senior outfielder was drafted in the 23rd round of the Major League Baseball Amateur draft last week.
Parker finished the 2002 season with a .286 batting average, four home runs, five doubles, 14 RBI and 17 runs in 28 games. He led the Pac-10 in sacrifice hits with eight, and stole seven bases.
