The UCLA Athletic Department held its third annual "Big Dance" at Pauley Pavilion on Tuesday evening.
Student-athletes from all 22 of UCLA's intercollegiate athletic teams were on hand for the event, which featured a Supershot competition, karaoke contest and dancing.
Retiring athletic director Pete Dalis kicked off the evening by introducing incoming director Dan Guerrero to the student-athletes.
In the Supershot competition, which awards the three team members who can make a layup, free throw and three pointer the fastest, Bryan Green (Cross-Country), Jamila Veasley (Women's Basketball) and T'Carra Penick (Track & Field) were the winners.
Members of the women's track and field team took home top honors in the karaoke competition following their rendition of "Bootylicious" by Destiny's Child. They defeated the defending champion women's basketball team by one point.
Catherine Hawley (Women's Tennis) and Ryan Nece (Football) were each awarded the C.H.A.M.P.S. Inspirational Award, given annually to a male and female student-athlete who has overcome personal adversity, injury or illness while achieving athletic success.
Also on Tuesday, the women's rowing team was crowned champion of the Gold Cup for its attendance at selected UCLA sporting events.
Tuesday's event was sponsored by the Bruin Athletic Council in conjunction with the UCLA Athletic Department.
