Tennis Teams Selected to Host NCAA Regionals

LOS ANGELES - Both the UCLA men's and women's tennis teams have been selected to host first and second round play for the NCAA Division-I Tennis Championships, May 9-11.
On the men's side, sixth-seeded UCLA (20-3) will host Wichita State (16-10) in the first round on Saturday, May 10. In the other first round match that day, USC (13-11) will take on UC Santa Barbara (15-8). The winners of Saturday's matches will meet in the second round on Sunday for a spot in the 16-team NCAA Championship field May 17-26 in Athens, Ga.
The UCLA women (13-10) earned a No. 11 seed in the NCAA field. The Bruins will take on IUPUI (21-3) in the first round on Friday, May 9. The other first round match that day will feature Pepperdine (12-13) vs. Minnesota (18-6). The regional final will be on Saturday, May 10, with the winner advancing to the round of 16 in Gainesville, Fla.
