No. 11 UCLA Women's Track & Field Ready for NCAA Outdoor

Jeanette Bolden and the No. 11 UCLA women's track and field team will travel north to Sacramento for the 2006 NCAA Outdoor Championships this week (June 7-10). The women, who nearly won the meet last year (2nd to Texas), will again look for a top-five finish as several athletes are primed and ready to vie for individual titles and All-American honors.
CBS will televise the meet live on Saturday from 12:30 pm (PST) to 3:00 pm (PST). CSTV will also televise the meet, covering from 5:00 pm (PST) to 7:00 pm (PST) on Friday.
In all, the Bruins will send 13 individual competitors and both relays to the national meet. Below is a list of each event UCLA athletes will compete in, along with their top mark for the year, rank heading into the meet and the day and time of those events.
200m - Jolanda Diego, 23.25 (21st); First Round at 5:10 pm on Wednesday; Semifinal at 5:45 pm on Friday; Final at 1:30 pm on Saturday
1500m - Ashley Caldwell, 4:21.36 (19th); Semifinal at 5:50 pm on Thursday; Final at 1:52 pm on Saturday
100m Hurdles - Dawn Harper, 12.80 (4th);First round at 4:30 pm on Wednesday; Semifinal at 5:30 pm on Wednesday; Final at 5:00 pm on Friday
400m Hurdles - Nicole Leach, 56.65 (6th); First round at 4:10 pm on Thursday; Semifinal at 6:10 pm on Friday; Final at 12:52 pm on Saturday
