Schnack Zalameda Reach Finals in Ojai

April 28, 2007
Ojai, Calif. - UCLA's Yasmin Schnack and Riza Zalameda are one win away from claiming the doubles title at the 2007 Pac-10 Championships, defeating USC's Judy DeVera/Amanda Fink, 8-5 on Saturday.
Awaiting Schnack and Zalameda in Sunday's final will be Stanford's Lindsay Burdette/Anne Yelsey.
The only other Bruin player in action on Saturday was junior Elizabeth Lumpkin, who dropped a tough 5-7, 6-4, 7-5 decision to ASU's Laila Abdala.
On the men's side, top-seeded Philipp Gruendler and Benjamin Kohlloeffel came up just short in their semifinal match with USC's Robert Farah/Kaes Van't Hof. The USC duo pulled out a very close 9-8(10) victory to advance to Sunday's final.
