Dustin DeLeo Named Pac-10 Male Field Event Athlete Of The Week

Junior Dustin DeLeo was named the Pac-10 male field event athlete of the week after an impressive showing at the UC San Diego Triton Invitational over the weekend. DeLeo tacked on nearly a foot to his previous lifetime-best in the pole vault (17-3) with a clearance of 18-1 in La Jolla on Saturday.
DeLeo's mark moved him to No. 5 all-time in UCLA history and No. 2 in the nation this season and tied him for first during the competition.
DeLeo is the second Bruin male to be honored this season as a field event athlete of the week. Jonathan Clark was honored on April 9th for his performances at the Texas Relays.
