UCLA's Kamaile Crowell, Jillian Kraus Earn All-MPSF Academic Honors

WOODLAND, Calif. - UCLA women's water polo seniors Kamaile Crowell and Jillian Kraus have earned All-MPSF Academic Team recognition, as announced by the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation. Both four-year letterwinners have maintained above a 3.0 cumulative grade point average, while leading the Bruins to their fourth consecutive NCAA Championship last May.
Crowell scored 13 goals on 36 attempts in 2008, tallying seven assists and six steals. In four seasons, the Honolulu, Hawaii, resident totaled 32 goals in 81 career games.
Kraus totaled 57 goals on 141 attempts this season, compiling 41 steals and 10 assists. The Tustin, Calif., native scored 178 goals in four seasons, the fourth-highest career goals total in program history. Kraus, who also earned MPSF Co-Player of the Year honors this spring, has been named an All-MPSF Academic Team selection in each of her final three seasons (freshmen are not eligible for the award).
