Krais & Pole Vaulters Have Big Day At UCSD Triton Invite

Ryann Krais and the pole vaulters highlighted the Bruin women competing at the UCSD Triton Invitational on Saturday.
Krais was second in both the 100 and 400 hurdles, running a season-best 14.05 in the highs and 59.54 in the intermediates.
Pena won the vault competition with a mark of 13-9.25. Katy Viuf was second with a clearance of 13-3.50. Karlye Marshall finished fifth with a lifetime-best mark of 12-9.50 (old best, 12-6.25), Liz Goodrich was 11th with a lifetime-best 12-3.50 and Allison Koressel finsihed 14th with a season-best 11-9.75.
In the high jump, Mariah Gibson tied for fifth with a mark of 5-6. Ashley Baucham and Shannon Armstrong tied for eighth with equal clearances of 5-4.25. That mark was a season-best for Baucham and lifetime-best for Armstrong. Audrey Mitchell tied for 20th with a clearance of 5-0.25.
The Bruins return home next Saturday (May 1) as they host USC in the annual dual meet. It will be the final competition before the post-season gets underway.
