Four Players on MPSF All-Academic Men's Volleyball Team

Four players represent UCLA on the 2010 MPSF All-Academic men's volleyball team, the conference announced Wednesday.

Senior Kevin Ker, redshirt junior Dylan Bowermaster and sophomores Thomas Amberg and Jack Polales all met the 3.0 cumulative grade point average requirement and earned spots on the team. Overall, 46 players from around the confernce earned all-academic honors.

Bowermaster led UCLA's group with a 3.60 gpa in Business Economics. He has been selected to the Director's Honor Roll (3.0 gpa) 10 times. Ker, who is scheduled to graduate this summer with a degree in History, has a 3.04 gpa and five nominations to the Director's Honor Roll. Polales boasts a 3.20 gpa and has earned a spot on the DHR in each of the five quarters he has been enrolled. Amberg, who has led the Bruins in blocking the last two seasons, has a 3.08 gpa.

A total of 13 players on the Bruins' 2010 roster own cumulative grade point averages above 3.0.
