Dunlap, Quiroga and Amberg Earn All-MPSF Honors

Junior Weston Dunlap, freshman Gonzalo Quiroga and junior Thomas Amberg were each named to the All-MPSF Conference Team on Thursday. Dunlap and Quiroga earned second-team honors while Amberg was named to the honorable mention team.
In addition to his second-team accolades, Gonzalo Quiroga was also named to the All-MPSF Freshman team. This is the first time in each of their careers that Quiroga, Dunlap and Amberg have been named to the All-MPSF team.
Quiroga led the Bruins in kills (283), kills per set (2.67) and set a new single-season freshman record with 39 aces on the year. Dunlap was second on the team in kills (270) and kills per set (2.60), while leading the squad with 90 total blocks and a .451 hitting percentage. His .451 hitting percentage was also third best in the conference. Finally, Amberg battled through hand injuries all year and ended up recording 154 kills, 78 total blocks, and a .411 hitting percentage, which was seventh best in the conference.
