WALNUT CREEK, Calif. - UCLA junior right-hander Trevor Bauer has earned Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week honors for the third consecutive week, the fifth time this season and eighth time in his career, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Bauer has also captured Louisville Slugger National Player of the Week accolades for the third consecutive week, the fifth time this season and seventh week in his career, as announced by Collegiate Baseball. He earned both awards each of the last two Mondays.
Bauer struck out 17 batters for the second time this season on Friday, tossing his third consecutive complete game, all in Pac-10 play, to lead UCLA past Stanford, 4-1. He allowed one run on a strike three wild pitch with the bases loaded, scattered four hits and issued just two walks. He hurled his ninth career complete game, his fourth of the season.

Bauer elevated his school-record leading career strikeout total to 384, while his single-season total of 127 strikeouts ranks seventh in the school's record book (he set the school record with 165 in 2010). On the road, Bauer has gone 4-0 with a 1.02 ERA and three complete games in five starts. He has logged 75 strikeouts and 13 walks in 44.0 innings away from Jackie Robinson Stadium. In those games, he has allowed five runs and scattered 17 hits, translating to a .115 opponent batting average.
