LOS ANGELES - Left-hander Josh Osich hurled a no-hitter to lead No. 3 Oregon State past No. 24 UCLA, 2-0, before 1,221 at Steele Field at Jackie Robinson Stadium on Saturday afternoon. Osich (6-1) had 13 strikeouts in nine innings, issuing one walk in the fourth inning to lead the Beavers (32-8, 12-2).

UCLA right-hander Trevor Bauer pitched his fourth consecutive complete game and fifth of the season, fanning 15 batters and walking two. Bauer (8-2) absorbed the loss despite limiting Oregon State to two runs and four hits through nine innings.

The Bruins (22-16, 10-7) were no-hit for the first time since May 8, 1994, when Stanford's Jason Middlebrook hurled a no-hitter in a 3-0 decision against UCLA at Stanford's Sunken Diamond in the second game of a doubleheader.

Osich required 121 pitches through nine innings, facing one batter over the minimum.

Oregon State received a two-run double by Kavin Keyes in the top of the sixth to snap a scoreless tie. Keyes went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Ryan Barnes went 1-for-3 with one run and one walk, and Jared Norris went 1-for-4 with one run.

In the sixth inning, Barnes drew a walk and moved to third base on a two-out single to right field by Norris. Keyes delivered with a two-run double to right-center field on a 0-2 pitch from Bauer.

Dean Espy drew a walk on a full count in the fourth inning and was UCLA's only baserunner of the game.

Saturday's loss marked the first time UCLA had dropped consecutive ballgames since March 27 (at USC) and March 29 (at Cal State Fullerton).

UCLA concludes its series against Oregon State on Sunday afternoon. Game time at Jackie Robinson Stadium is 1 p.m. Fans can listen to a live audio broadcast of each game online, free of charge, at uclabruins.com.
