LOS ANGELES - The UCLA baseball team (33-22) opens postseason play against San Francisco (31-23) in the NCAA Los Angeles Regional at Jackie Robinson Stadium on Friday. Game time is 6 p.m.
Earlier in the day, Fresno State (40-14) will face UC Irvine (39-16) at 2 p.m.
Tickets for this weekend's NCAA Los Angeles Regional are on sale through the UCLA Central Ticket Office (310-825-2101). Fans can purchase tickets online via tickets.ucla.edu (or by clicking here).
Fans may purchase All-Session Reserved ($80 adult, $65 student) or All-Session General Admission packages ($55 adult, $50 student). The student prices apply to all grade school, high school and college students.
If any all-session tickets remain on Friday morning, they will be sold as individual game tickets. The 2 p.m. game would be on sale at the stadium and all others would be available online via tickets.ucla.edu or by clicking this link.
UCLA, the 2011 Pac-10 Conference Champions, will send junior right-hander Gerrit Cole (6-7, 3.28 ERA) to the mound for Friday's contest against San Francisco. Fans can listen to a live audio broadcast of Friday's game online, free of charge, by visiting uclabruins.com (direct link here).
Under seventh-year head coach John Savage, UCLA has advanced to an NCAA Regional in five of the last six seasons. This marks the second consecutive year in which UCLA has earned the right to host an NCAA Regional. Last spring, the Bruins went 51-17 en route to advancing to the finals of the College World Series for the first time in school history.
