Thompson Advances To USATF Senior National 400m Hurdles Final

Turquoise Thompson, the 2011 NCAA runner-up in the intermediate hurdles, advanced to the finals of the USATF Senior National Championship after running the seventh-fastest time during the semifinal rounds.
Thompson, who was running out of lane three, finished third in heat two to advance to Saturday's final (2:21 pm). This will be Thompson's first career final as a senior competitor.
Alum MacKenzie Hill had the eighth-fastest time of the day (56.73), but was fifth in heat one and does not advance to the final. Another alum, two-time NCAA champion Nicole Leach, finished seventh in heat two and 14th overall (58.46) and does not advance to the final.
