Junior Dean Espy of the UCLA baseball team presents his seventh and final episode of "The Weekly ESPY", a weekly video blog taking a look at the Bruins' baseball season through the eyes of UCLA's first baseman.
Espy recaps the close of UCLA's season at the NCAA Los Angeles Regional last weekend, and reviews which Bruins were selected earlier this week in the MLB Draft.
A two-year varsity letterwinner, Espy was drafted in the 15th round of the 2011 MLB Draft by the Kansas City Royals on Tuesday. The native of Mesa, Ariz., was among UCLA's best hitters in 2011, leading the squad with a .320 batting average.
UCLA finished the year with a 35-24 overall record, going 2-2 at the NCAA Los Angeles Regional. The Bruins won their first outright Pac-10 Conference title since 1986.
