"Senior Night" is always so much MORE than every other meet during the regular season. I find that for the entire meet, my mind replays experiences throughout the years I've had with each of our seniors ... sometimes chuckling, sometimes shaking my head, sometimes getting teary eyed. It was especially rewarding yesterday to be able to compete all seven of our seniors. They had certainly earned their spot on the competition floor that afternoon.
As Sadie Delaney once said, "The only Pride God allows us to have, is Pride in a job well done." It's nice to see that all of our seniors have a lot to be proud of.
Moving into the last part of our regular season, we are honing in on "Responsibility", "Accountability", and "No-Nonsense-ability". Our goal every year is to prepare well, so there isn't any doubt or surprises during the competitions. We are almost there. At the beginning of the season I said that I didn't feel we would be starting off the season with the confidence that we've had the past few years, but that we would be right back in CALM - CONFIDENCE form come Championship season. I'm thrilled to say that we are on track, but we've still got quite a bit of work to do in these next few weeks.
