Daryl Kapis joins the Bruin women’s volleyball coaching staff as a volunteer assistant coach in 2001. Kapis spent last season as a volunteer assistant coach at San Jose State, as well as working as the administrator and club coach of Club Yahoo! in San Jose, CA, and as a developmental camp director and coach for USA Volleyball.
For the past three years, Kapis has worked within USA Volleyball as both the Director and coach of the developmental camps, as well as coaching at USA Volleyball’s High Performance Camp, which includes some of the top young players in the U.S..
Kapis also has coaching experience at the high school level, serving as an assistant coach at San Jose’s Archbishop Mitty High School for three seasons, from 1997-99.
A certified strength and conditioning specialist, the Aptos, CA, native is a 1996 graduate of San Francisco State. Kapis also has an MA in Sports Administration from St. Mary’s, which he completed in 2001.
