Jeff Schley is in his third season with the Bruin staff as an offensive graduate assistant. He joined the UCLA staff after serving during the 1997 season at Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, TX. He coached the wide receivers and served as the recruiting coordinator for the Indian program. In 1996, he coached at Iowa City High School.
Jeff, a native of Shorewood, IL, was an All-Big 10 outfielder at the University of Iowa in 1995. He was team captain in 1996 and an Academic All-Conference selection. Prior to enrolling at Iowa, Schley was an all-conference defensive back and football team captain at Joliet (IL) Junior College. He earned All-America accolades on the Joliet baseball team and served as team captain. In high school, Schley was an All-Chicago area footballer at Providence Catholic High in New Lennox, IL.
